EXTENDED POSSIBILITIES - RESIDENCY CALL

Extended possibilities provides artists with the opportunity to work on site for 45 days : a long period of time, allowing them to benefit from technical support and to present their ongoing work to the public.
Artists are provided with on-site accommodation and have access to a well-maintained and up to date technical facility.
Each artist or team receives a grant to support its work, as well as a lump-sum allowance for travel expenses and visas. 

RAMDAM, UN CENTRE D’ART is an activist space who supports artists in their artistic research.
The residencies are open to artists or teams engaged in creation, research or experimentation, without the need to produce a finished work. The venue is a tool to be invented and reinvented, or even relocated, as artistic experimentation unfolds: dance, theatre, performance, painting, sculpture, drawing, film, video, literary writing, screenwriting, digital art, hybrid forms… whatever the field in which the project is situated, RAMDAM, UN CENTRE D'ART is eager to discover it.

RAMDAM is committed to ensuring that the cultural world does not distance itself from social and emancipatory struggles. As a forum for discourse and public speech, RAMDAM takes a firm stance on the state of the cultural world.

Breaking down barriers between disciplines
We would like to focus our call on multidisciplinary projects and research projects that break down barriers and challenge their own field of practice.

Contextualisation
Considerable attention is given to the way in which your artistic work, beyond the research project and its specific subject, fits into a social and/or political context, reflects on our times and resonates with these realities

Extended possibilities is open to support :
- 1or 2 artistics teams. (RAMDAM can host at the most 5 artists.)  
- performing artists (all disciplines)
- all the artists must be available 45 days, from the 1st of february until the 15th of march 2027.
- projects could be a writing residency then a stage residency : early stages of research-creation and/or more advanced
- the working and living spaces are wheelchair accessibles, noneless, getting to RAMDAM using public transportation can be very difficult for disabled people.
- all the artists must be from the elligible countries : EU countries, outermost regions, overseas countries and territories, some non EU countries  (click here to see the full list)

Artists can apply solo or as a team for residencies, which can either be stage residencies and and/or writing residencies. The artistic projects hosted at RAMDAM with the support of Culture Moves Europe will be part of a broader residency program : RAMDAM host around 30 artistic projects each year.

• 1- your residency project + 2- administrative form + 3 - any other document to let us understand the work you are applying for.
• You will receive a confirmation within 7 working days.

>> If your application is successful, video calls with the residency committee will take place mid August. The date will be confirmed by email upon receipt of your application.
You have until tuesday 14 July 2026, 11:59 p.m. to submit your application: after this date, applications will no longer be accepted.

This call for applications is arbitrarily limited to the first 40 applications received.

HOUSING
A collective room for the teams will be provided at RAMDAM all allong the 45 days.

WORK SPACES AND TECHNICAL SHEET 
Please verify that your needs meets RAMDAM's technical possibilities and material. Note that your team must supports herself the technical aspects of your residency.

ALLOWANCES 
Daily allowance to contribute to subsistence costs and other expenses during the implementation of the residency project : 1350€/ resident. 

Travel allowance
• Based on the distance between the resident’s place of legal residence and the main location of the residency. Under 5.000 km = 400 € / from 5.000 km = 800 €
• The travel distance is less than 600 km, you must travel via green means of transport (any means other than airplane), unless you have a disability which prevents you from travelling differently. An exception also applies if you reside in an island accessible only by airplane. If the travel distance is 600 km or more, residents are eligible for the green mobility top-up (400€).
• Daily allowance to contribute to subsistence costs and other expenses during the implementation of the residency project : 1350€/ resident. 

TOP UPS / ACCESSIBILITYSUPPORT
Green mobility
• For residents who decide to travel by any other means than airplane.
• The distance (straight-line) between their place of residence and the destination must be 600km or more.
400 € / resident. (distance calculator)

Visa top-up
• For residents who must obtain a visa to enter France. 120 € /resident

Outermost regions, overseas countries and territories top-up
• For residents who legally reside, or have their destination, in an OCT/OR. 175€ /resident

Family top-up
• For residents with children under 18 years old at the time of the residency. 200 € per child / resident
